Need Help With My Son's 1St Birthday Cake

My baby boy is turning 1 next month and I need some ideas for a cake. He only seems to be interested in cars (mostly the wheels) and Carrie Underwood! ( Go figure 
). Anyways, I've got the 3D car pan, but was wanting to do something a little different and special being it's his 1st. I've only been decorating for about 6 months and my talents are limited, so any ideas will be greatly appreciated. TIA!
Have you thought about doing is as Lightning McQueen from the Cars movie? My daughter was 1 1/2 when the movie came out and we went to see it at the movies and she loves it (my son is 4 and in love with the movie).
The bright red and yellow are great for a 1st birthday.

How about a stacked cake with rodas or racetracks on it with fondant cars driving around. maybe some checkered flags? Try doing a search in the gallery for cars and I'm sure you will find some wonderful ideas.
As for Carrie Underwood, I have no idea there lol. Good luck!
