Does anyone have the know how about an erupting volcano cake. I am curious about using the egg yolk for the lava. Isn't that unsafe to eat?
If you could send instructions and recipe that would be awesome.

Thanks so much!

better is to rig a tube that goes up through the cake and is filled w/ red colored pudding.

tube is prefilled w/ pudding and is connected to a large pastry bag or one of those cookie shooters filled w/ more pudding.

there will be pudding left in the tube at the end they can fight over to see who gets to suck it out.

warning -- if squeeze too hard or too fast -- you'll have pudding on the ceiling.

Here is a volcano cake that I made. I chose to use the wires and soccer balls to make it look like it was erupting.

You can buy pastuerized egg whites and even whole eggs in most grocery stores.
