I'm looking for a printer for edible images and would like to hear from anyone that has this one. Does it work well and have you had any problems with it? Where is the best place to get supplies for it? TIA for your help.

I got one last year, the second time I used it, a few months in between uses, it wouldn't work at all, Canon replaced it for me, but they sent me a 4200, and the cartridges don't come made for this one, I had to do the chip-switching on the cartridges for the 4000. The 3000 has been discontinued, so if something happened to it, chances are you couldn't get another one from Canon. HTH Janice

Thanks for the info Janice. Is there another model you would suggest?

All I can suggest is going to Kopykake and seeing what cartridges are available, and buy your printer according to that. I like the 4200 and am getting nice results, but having to switch that little chip each time is going to be a pain! I notice some members are getting the Epson printers, since there are now cartridges for them. Good luck. Janice

I have had mine for over a year and a half and have had great results with it. There are times when I don't use it for a couple of months and have not had any problems. But, yup, unfortunately they have been discontinued. I would do as veejaytx has suggested and go to the kopykake site to see what printers are compatible. http://www.kopykake.com/pc_CompatiblePrinterGuide.html
