I'm making a cake next weekend which is gonna be decorated in fondant icing and then decorated with the cornelli lace style, now both the fondant and royal icing is gonna be red and I want the cornelli lace to look sort of shiny so do I add piping gel to the royal icing to get this effect?

I'm making a basque in red and just want the pattern to also be in red but to stand out a bit, hope you understand what I mean.

Any help would be appreciated.
