Thanks for all the great sites!! I am just getting started and am trying to start a little business...but, this is all still so new to me...trying to find how to maximize profit while minimizing cost is not so easy....Are there certian places that are better to purchase stuff in bulk? Like for your powdered sugar/butter.....what places are best for that sort of stuff too..also, what about boxes etc...I found some wholesale places for boxes but, a 100 of them for a hundred dollars? I am curious if there are places that are better icon_smile.gif Id hate to spend that kind of money for a flimsy box that I dont like ...purchasing stuff over the net is a risk unless you know people that love the product too...what do you guys think?

I think I will post this as a new topic question too icon_smile.gif

Thanks ladies!

Right now i don't need to buy in bulk but Sams Club has some pretty good deals. You can go online or check out their store. You can buy pretty much anything from them, even their uniced cakes, icing, boxes, ect... Hope this helps.

anyone : )

Im really interested in online shopping since alot of wholesellers offer supplies for cheap, I thought it would be cool if there was one that you all use that works really well for you.

the websites mentioned above are great!! i have only shopped from country kitchen, but also read good things from the other one here.
I usually purchase 90% of my supplies and stuff locally. So if you have places nearby it works out great.

These boxes seem pretty reasonable.

I had a great experience with the Cake, Candy and Wedding Supply Co today. The website made it look like I was ordering only one of something I wanted one pack of 100. I noticed it but figured I'd get an email from them to clarify. Nope, no email... A PHONE CALL within a half hour of placing the order online. They also have pretty reasonable shipping on heavy stuff like bulk boxes and boards and ship very fast. Today was only my second order, but I'm fairly impressed.

Thanks ladies, I will check out those websites too!

That was fantastic that they actually called you! In todays business world it seems an email is what we usually get to confirm, someone taking the time to call is very impressive and says a bit about how the company feels about the customer!
