Okay, I'm 23 years old and a mom calls me up wanting a Chitty chitty bang bang cake for her 3 year old son. I had never even heard of the movie and I can't find any good pics to do a FBCT. What are my options?? Even if I did find a good pic, would it be too hard to do a FBCT??? Well, I really need some help because I said I would get back to her by Monday. Thanks in advance. I know ya'll are so creative.

I am 36 and I watched that movie when I was little. I remember the car that flies and thought that could really happen in real life. You have to rent the movie and then go from there and find something from it. Maybe a cover of the movie or book to it?

I am 23 as well, and this was my favorite movie as a child! I can't believe you haven't seen it! icon_surprised.gificon_lol.gif Well, I haven't watched it in many years, but the main character is an inventor and he has a machine in his house that cracks eggs and makes his kids breakfast. He also invents a type of candy that whistles called toot sweets. There's a whole song about them. http://www.reelclassics.com/Audio_Video/Videos7s/chitty_themesong.mov

There are two links that tell more about it.
There is also a toymaker in there somewhere. Maybe you could do something with big swirly lollipops and toys. I don't know. See what you come up with after looking at those links. I'm not sure how involved you want this cake to be.

I was wondering how the cake turned out. My son is turning 3 and loves the movie as well so I would like to try to make him a cake with the car image. What were you referring to when you mentioned FBCT? Is that the edible fabric sheets? I was wondering how edible they are? Do you use your reqular printer ink?

Must be this movie is making a comeback. My friend's boys (3 & 5yo) love it. I'll have to rent it for my kids - maybe they'll love it as much!
