I have never understood these.I am talking about the plate pegs(look like white nails to me)anyhow the directions say to secure pegs into plate then push into cake for added support to keep plate from moving right?? WEll if you do it that way then the plate would be upside down icon_confused.gif seems to me, you push the pegs into the(marked holes)of plate then OH I DON'T KNOW icon_mad.gificon_confused.gificon_lol.gif help I would like to try these.TIA

It took me a minute, but I remember those! I'll tell ya, darlin', I stopped using those YEARS ago because I found them VERY unsteady. If they are the same ones I'm thinking of, they don't fit snugly into the sockets/holes on the plates and the one and only time I almost had a cake topple was using these. Most of the "how-to" photos show using these WITH wooden dowels and my thought is "if you're using wooden dowels, then these are unnecessary.

I switched to wooden dowels only with zero problems ever since.

They are a marketing ploy to novices who think they need to buy it all... I bought some long ago icon_smile.gif Never use a one. They are dumb!! lol Of all the problems I have ever had with a cake, the plate shifting has never been one.
