I am making a 12x18 cake for a child's b-day. Do normal sheet cakes have one layer of cake, or two? If only using one layer of cake, do most ppl put a filling in it? Anything else I should know about a sheet cake?

For a childs Birthday I would say no filling unless they request it. Also they are usually one layer. Hope this helps.

It all depends on what the customer wants and how much they want to pay.

I have it my pricing set up for a single layer cake, double layer w/buttercream filling, double layer with filling. Each one is a different price so it just depends on the type of cake they want.
