I did a rally pretty cake in buttercream taht I added scroll work to on the sides also in buttercream. I then mixed the luster dust with grain alcohol adn painted the scroll work. It came out rather nice. (I'll try to post the picture here) The problem was that the gold turned green after a few days. It was for the convention so I did it ahead more then I would normally for a cake. The concern is what if that happened on an order. There was no way to repaint it and cover the green. I tried. Is there a different luster I should ahve used? icon_rolleyes.gif
Thanks,

What are the ingredients in you BC. Probably a chemical reaction to something but have to know the combo to tell you what to leave out next time.
