I made my bc this morning but it's too thin. Like pancake mix thin. I used the same recipe as always. 2sticks butter, 1 cup crisco, 2 lbs powder sugar, 2 tbsp vanilla. Is there anything I can do to make it thicker? Add more crisco? Or do I need to start over?

Try adding a little more powdered sugar.

Is it too warm? Maybe put it in the ice box for a while?

If you can't get it to thicken, maybe you could use some of it to make cake balls.

butter gets harder in the fridge so chilling it a little bit might help.

if you keep adding more powdered sugar, it's got to thicken eventually!

I would too say add more powdered sugar and chill it a bit because if it is too warm the butter will be too soft and your mixture will be thin. Make sure your kitchen is very cool especially with this large amount of butter. Hope this helps. icon_smile.gif
