I know this must really sound inane but are cakeballs just balls of cake? How do you keep them together or get them smooth enough to dip without having crumbs everywhere? I know that I'm a newbie ....
but I"m really feeling dumb at the moment. ![]()
Yes they are balls of cake. I mix my cake scraps with some BC and then scoop into a ball with a cookie scoop. Freeze them for an hour or so and dip them and you won't have any problems with crumbs. If you do a search for cake balls in the forums you will come up with a lot of different recipes.
There is a recipe for them. Actually, there are many different recipes.
Do you see the search button in the upper, left hand corner, above where it says "Really Stupid Question"? You can go there and search for "cake balls" and you'll get a lot of different recipes.
Here is one, which I found in the recipe section of the website.
