I was making a carved slot machine cake for my mom's birthday tomorrow. I had just finished baking the 2nd layer and went to put into the freezer. Just as I was putting it in it slipped off the board and crashed to the bottom of the freezer floor. I don't have time to go buy more stuff and make another one (I have a demanding 7 month old). I scooped it all up and put it back onto the board and am going to try to peice it back together and salvage it. But I'm just so sad. I have high hopes for this cake. As it fell it was like watching it in slow motion. It was awful! Oh well I guess I'll learn from my mistakes.

I am so sorry this had to happen to you. I had this happen with a 3-D car cake for a customer. I had it all done and was putting it in the freezer to harden a little befor delivering. I have a side by side freezer and was holding the board on the front and it bent. I had to call and tell her what happened. I am very lucky she was so understanding. Good luck putting it back together. Hope it works out for you.
