Anyone here in TX? Are you close to Bryan/College Station? You know home of the fightin Texas Aggies. Just wondering how many people are close to me, maybe we can do one of those get togethers they had in LA not to long ago. I would love to host one.

Well i am 1 1/2 hours from Houston and 4 hours from Dallas. 45 min from Austin and 1 hour from Huntsville

I live in Port Neches, about 20 minutes from Beaumont! I think we are about 2 hours from College Station?

I would love to know what the TX bakers think about having a little baking get together here at my house. Of course we all know how big TX is so only if it was not to long of a drive for you.

Maybe we could get together and bring a cake and decorate them together to share some ideas with each other. You know we all have something to offer to each other. Anyone who would want to throw some date ideas at me and lets see what we can come up with.

sounds like fun. oh wow i dont know about teh date. i do know i am really busy in august so that whole months is no good for me. sorry. but if its good for evryone else by all means dont say no because of one person.

I live in Waco (Sic Em Bears!), so Bryan/CS is not far at all. this is such a great idea...I am just starting and would love to be able to meet more cake decorators and learn more

Well the only thing I have coming up is in October. The begining of October I am standing in a wedding, but so far that is all.

I don't know if I can come. I have 2 small children and I have a cake every weekend for the next 6 weeks. If it were close, I could come, but I hate to leave my kids, and husband

Definitely. You don't have to leave either. I too have two young children and a husband who I would never go anywhere without. I hope you consider this before you say no. six weeks from now is the end of August so what if we aimed closer to the middle of October?

I'm about an hour from Beaumont and the Houston area is about another hour to hour and a half away .. I'm on the Louisiana side, but I'd love to attend! We had so much fun at the DOS in Bossier City... that was a 4 hour drive for me lol

Have you all decided on a date yet? I have a SIL that lives in Houston and I could stay the night with her... wouldn't be a problem at all ... then I could drive from there to where you are... if that's ok with you that a cajun attends icon_biggrin.gif
