Okay, I just got my new bakery/coffee shop today! Long story, but I only found out on thursday that it was available, Friday they told me it was mine if I wanted it, but I only had two days to decide. I paid fo rthe business, signed the lease So, now I have a full blown operation. Pardon me for tooting my own horn, but I am a great baker/cook. However, I have no experience making multiple batches at once. Does a recipe loose flavor, or come out incorrectly when you triple + the ingredients? do I have to reformulate all of my recipes?
Ha! I just asked this question recently - got a recipe from briannastreats. (http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-451393-.html)
for making bulk cake as doubling/tripling doesn't always work. Again, baking is chemistry - cooking is anarchy
I think the only time you'd encounter a problem with multiplying the recipe is if you bake it in an unusually large sized pan not recommended for the original recipe. You can multiply a recipe by 10 if you need to, but you can't bake it in a 5 gallon cake pan
you just have to divide it up in regular sized portions to fit in ordinary pans. Does that make sense? dunno if I explained myself well
