I have some kind of flu, and I've kinda been feeling down the last couple of days...I decided to bake some cookies to busy myself and it's nice and warm by the oven anyways. I had the butter and sugar in my KA to cream them and I plugged it in...only to have it ROAR to life in my face showering me and the kitchen in brown sugar...I must have moved the speed lever last time I cleaned it. I ALMOST always remember to check the damned thing as I have done this same trick with an industrial sized Hobart mixer full of ICING SUGAR, (the air smells so nice and sweet for like the WHOLE DAY!!!) but it didn't occur to me today in my achey, shivering state...I hope some of you are killing yourselves laughing right now...I'm going to get the vacume cleaner ![]()

lol tks for making me smile (sorry its at your expense tho) I only have a hand mixer but I always make sure its unplugged before I put the beaters on because I'm always afraid I might have forgot to turn off the switch and catch my hands in the beater lol
Oh I can relate. I talk with my hands all the time and a friend and I were in my kitchen talking one afternoon while I'm mixing (with a hand held) and what do you think happened? Well, on with the hand gestures I go and out with the full battered mixer. Cake mix EVERYHWHERE includung us ![]()
