to putting chocolate shavings on the side of a cake? I made a cake this morning that I did it for but it was not an easy feat and I know you ladies (and gents) must have a nifty little trick for it.

Hi New Hampshire, Mass Baker here. I would put a parchment paper ring with a slight moat (to catch shavings) around the bottom. Then quickly stick the shavings on the sides. Use really cold shavings. Hope this works.
