That usually happens to me if my boards are not strong enough. I could be wrong, but that is what I think is happening to mine sometimes. So I always try to put an extra board if I know that the cake is going to weigh a little more than usual.
Yeah I have learned that if my cake is too heavy with not enough support underneath I will get a nice crack that is hard to repair! So double up on support for heavy cakes!!!!! ![]()
