Hello fellow crazy CC'ers

Have a Q for ya...

I am doing a 50th anniversary cake this weekend 3 tiered 14, 12 and 8
All carrot cake...how many layers do I have in each cake?

How many should this serve? Around 120..I hope...

Any other advise is welcome, this is my first tired cake

Here's a how-to on tiered/stacked cakes:

Above has info on stacking, charts for filling and batter requirements (by pan size) serving guide (for party cakes), and so much more.

Charts for wedding size servings (by pan size):

Here's a cream cheese recipe that doesn't require refrigeration:

Based on Earlene's chart, an 8-12-14 cake will serve 15+45+65=125. I make tiers 4" high, and these can be 2 layers of 2", or 4 layers of 1". Here's a link to Earlene's chart: http://www.earlenescakes.com/ckserchart.htm
