A reporter for one of our local papers showed up today and asked me for a interview to put in they're business expose spot. 
. We spent about an hour and 1/2 together. She said she was going to need two pages for my cake pictures alone. What great (and free) advertising this is going to be. I also let her know that we are donating 3 cakes within the next 2 months to worthy causes. They are the violence prevention seminar, the women in business luncheon and the grand opening of the new senior citizen building. I am so happy.
Boy, that is nice - and PHOTOS too? Not just a little blurb and a picture of you standing holding a cake... how sweet is that?

I was so excited I hit the submit button twice. 
The paper came out today and I got a full page spread. Doing the happy dance. The header on the page said:
JO'S CUSTOM CAKES
MAKING YOUR DREAMS SWEET.
(How great is that!!!!)
She went on to say how everything is freshly made for each order. She listed some of the different flavors of cakes and icings.
I quote
"All the decorations on their cakes are made fresh and everything on the cake, including the flowers are edible. They put together some of the finest white chocolate roses and fondant characters as well as 3D floral arrangements as cake toppers.
From baby shower booties to bachelor party bikinis, the possibilities are endless. Whatever you can come up with for a theme Jo can work with you to find the perfect cake accompaniment."
And it goes on and on. They printed 12 pictures of different cakes we've made.
What a rush!!!!!
Thanks to everyone here on CC. I don't know if I would have gotten to this stage without everyones help and inspiration. In fact this site was mentioned in the paper because I told her this is where I come for all the great cake inspiration.
