I have already had the worst month. I am looking forward to Oct ending peacefully. First, my daughter was back in the hospital in dallas with a migraine. We admitted her on a Sat and my hubby left for North Carolina on business on Sunday. Really hard to leave us in Dallas.... Then on the first Wed he was gone, a lady ran into me and totalled my car. We were in the process of looking for a new vehicle for my husband. (not me) I was on the phone with my hubby when the wreck happened... totally scared him to death.... Wound up in the ER with a concussion, and a couple of mildly ruptured disk in my back. It has been two weeks and I am still so sore I can hardly move. I have a cake to decorate for tomorrow night and have no desire and am so sore that I am not sure I can pipe. THat is the "half empty" version. NOW for the half full version. I got to get a used "new to me" Camry. I have always wanted one and we got one from a little old lady in perfect condition and a great price!! My hubby just bought a 2003 jeep wrangler with a soft top.. we are so excited! Luckily the cake I am decorating for tomorrow night is an easy one.... fall colors and chocolate is the only request...I needed to post this to remind myself to see the glass as half full....Without this wreck, I would not have gotten my car! Sorry for the rant....and I know it is not cake related but......Whew, I feel better already....Thanks....

Tonja,
You are so right to look at the glass as half full instead of half empty. I try to keep it in the back of my mind that there are always people in this world that are so much worse off than me. Thank God you survived the accident. Hope your daughter is doing better!

Ahhh, a girl after my own heart.....trying to think positive and see at least some good (or a meaningful lesson) in all situations, good or bad. Taking lemons and making lemonade! You go, girl!

Sorry it was a rough month for you.........and I wish you the VERY best in November and beyond!!

(((Hugs))))
