Hi,

I finally started making my helmet cake and my face mask that was made out of fondant crumbled to death. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do or how or what to make another one in? I need the cake done by Friday noon. So I need help really soon. Someone said to cover wire with fondant. How thick does the wire need to be? Thanks.

Try using gumpaste. It will dry harder and faster but I'm not sure how fast it dries but I'm sure somebody can give you a time frame!

thanks dodibug for replying. I am going to make the mask with a hanger and put fondant over it. That way I can mold it to the cake and not have to worry about it breaking. Thanks.
