hello everyone. i'm new to this site & considerably inexperienced in the ck decorating when i started checking out everyone's gorgeous cakes!! fabulous work!! i have never used fondant or gumpaste at all, so i'm all- round clueless as to how to get started. i found a cake on here that i would to try for a baby shower. it's a pea pod cake and it was made by pinkflamingo. i would appreciate any advice. thanks bunches. angied

It's really cute!
If that is the cake, it looks like they used fondant for the figures. I would make them way ahead of time if you havn't used it before, That way if you mess up or don't like them, you can start over. Also it gives them time to dry (something I wasn't aware of at first.) I would suggest making MMF for it and using the crisco recipe and using crisco on your hands to shape.
CUte cake! Love to see your pics of it when it is done.
