I was wondering if anyone buys their fondant from decopac. i don't have the paper catolog and the online one doesn't give much information about the products. Its a good price. How does it taste? Easy to work with? I'd love to buy Satin Ice directly from the supplier but I don't need 40lbs. I'm doing a square wedding cake 8, 12,16. for my cousin and only making 225 for the cake. I'd hate for all my profit to go into fondant. I usually make my own, but I'm getting stingy with my time and for some reason i see slight variations from batch to batch. 
deco pac is satic ice. the shipping is not in my favor with deco pac. i pay about $62 (after shipping) for 20 lbs of fondant from www.intotheoven.com. after shipping at deco pac i would pay $80 for 20 lbs of fondant. with deco pac shipping is $27 no matter how much you order, nad their fondant is $13 for 5 lbs. add it up, its not a value for me. if you live somewhere where your shipping with other suppliers is outrageous, then deco pac would be a deal. (alaska, hawaii).
Wow that's a lot for shipping through decopac - I haven't paid nearly that amount for shipping with them. That's were I buy all my fondant.
I also love intotheoven they have very fast shipping and great prices!!!
I have bought from http://cakedeco.com/ over the years. You should check them out. Shipping cost has all ways has been fair for me. I ordered two buckets of fondx and something else and shipping was $16.00. Shipping for me has all ways been between $16 to $20.

I have ordered several times from decopac and love the taste of their fondant. Shipping for one pail for me is $6 using Fedex ground. If you order over $75 shipping is free, so that is what I try to do. HTH, Kristin

Remember if you're shopping at intotheoven to register and check their forum for any discounts. Sometimes they post random discounts for everyone, other times they'll pm you a really nice discount for posting and being active in the forum.
I just got a 20% discount pm'd to me the other day and am going to spend it today! Needless to say, they've become my favorite place to shop.
I'd love to check out decopac, but unfortunately looks like you have to have a tax id to order directly from them and I don't have that yet.
