Ok, I've never used dream whip before, it's non-dairy right? Has anyone mixed this with fruit or something like that and if so how did it taste?

thanks. I was trying to see if anyone uses the powdered dream whip stuff. I know there's a recipe for it for buttercream.

I have eaten dream whip before (not as the icing for a cake though). It is fairly light in terms of consistency and taste (although it has a nice vanilla flavour) so I would recommend using it for a lighter type cake (ie yellow or white cake, that has some fruit in it).

I think it would mix nicely with some fruit if you wanted to use it as a filling.
