I've just bought a bunch of flavors and was wondering if you can share your experiences with them. Tastes, amounts etc. So, what's your verdict on

pineapple
coconut
pina colada
cherry
bavarian cream
vanilla butternut... they all smell awesome, some are strong ! If you have used any of these flavors, please give me your thoughts and tips.

I've only used the champagne and caramel flavors so far, but I LOVE them. I made a delicious pink champagne cake from a doctored mix and added four drops of flavoring, as well as substituted the water for pink champagne. I probably could have even used only two or three drops! It was so goooooooooood.
Tonight I am making Martha's SMBC using brown sugar instead of white, and adding the caramel flavor. I'll let you know how it comes out, but the caramel flavoring smells so rich, I bet it will be perfect!
I bought an eye dropper to measure the oils out.
I'm going to have to order a few more flavors, now!

The ones I have tried so far are champagne and amaretto. They make your frosting taste great and smell great.

The only actual recipes I have that call for LorAnn oils are candy recipes, which use 2-3 drops per batch (buy the droppers if you have not already).

I have used them in icing, and started with 4 drops, then added as needed to suit my taste. I do not think I have ever gone over 8 drops, and that was for a lot of icing.

They are extremely strong, especially peppermint, spearmint, wintergreen, and cinnamon. In fact, too much will make your mouth as hot as the center of an Altoid.

Please do not try to taste these straight from the bottle. They will make you gag. They are designed to be used with products containing sugar.

I love the Bavarian Cream flavor. I made a WASC cake for my husband's birthday party this weekend and instead of the almond flavoring I used the Bavarian Cream flavor. It went over extremely well. There was none left. icon_sad.gif

Have fun!
