Im due to make a thomas the tank cake in a couple of weeks time using BC piped stars to decorate, now this sort of decorating usually takes me hours to do. I need the cake for a Friday and was aiming at making it and decorating it on the Thursday but I was wondering do you think if I made the cake and decorated it on the Sunday before it would stay fresh, bearing in mind itll be nearly a week old by then, if not maybe Ill freeze the cake then thaw and decorate the day before, its just I work so by time I get home and get started it will be pretty late.

I would bake and freeze(wrap really good) and have everything ready ahead of time so all you have to do is decorate. I like my cakes as fresh as possible and a week sounds a little bit to long. Best of luckicon_smile.gif

That's what I thought as well but just thought I'd check. Thanks,

You can also use a multi-star tip to save some time on bigger areas. It works pretty well.
