Hey guys...

Just needing to work out how you calculate the quantity of cupcakes a batter mix makes. Is written for a 20cm (8") round tin, so need to work out approximately how much this quanity of batter will make into cupcakes.

Is there a formula? or do you just guess-timate it?

Thanks heaps

Fi

If I use 1/4 cup per cupcake I generally get between 26 & 30 cupcakes - using BC mix adding an extra egg and 1/3 cup sugar

If I use a cake mix (betty crocker, duncan hines etc) I usually get between 19-26 cupcakes, depending on how much I fill the cups and if I've doctored the mix (doctoring the mix = less cupcakes since the batter is thicker) I find.
