Is there anyway to make antonia74 icing without meringe powder?

If not is there a recipe using powdered sugar I can make for my sugar cookies?

I just made a batch of sugar cookies to see if I liked the recipe and they need to be frosted so hopefully somone can help!

TIA

meringue powder is the substitute for egg whites. I know there are recipes out there with egg whites instead for royal icing that you could try instead. I just tend to stay away from the raw egg whites personally, but there are quite a few people on the boards that use them all the time.

you can just substitute 6 large egg whites (6 liquid ounces) for the water & meringue powder in my recipe, yes

If you'd just PM'ed me, I'd have gotten the answer to you faster! icon_sad.gif
