Has anyone here used Dede Wilson's essential white cake recipe. or any of her other essential cake recipes? I checked out her Wedding Cakes You Can Make book from the library and need to get it returned this week, but I'm thinking this is a book I might need to own. It's a good one.

I have made her yellow cake and loved it!!
I like it that her recipes are for 6 inch pan to 12 in pans.

Both her books are great. I create and write my own cake recipes, so I can not comment on her cakes, but her Italian Buttercream recipe is the one I use a lot. Her flavor combinations overall are some of the best, plus the fact she does not use fondant, but strictly buttercream is what attracted me to her books.

I have her book "Wedding Cakes You Can Make" and love it. It contains a lot of good advice and is a great reference. She gives good tips on what to do ahead of time for wedding cakes.

Love it!

I've made her carrot cake and her spice cake and they are both great. I'm dying to try more. I've always used her recipe for IMBC when I'm not cooking for sale.
