I am making a ghost cake, it is 3D, Can I make the head out of rice krispies and cover it with buttercream or do you have to use fondant. The rest of the cake is covered in buttercream. Hope this makes sense.

I have never personally used rice crispy treats but I have a sister-in-Law that decorates cakes and she uses rice crispy treats all of the time and on decorates in buttercream. I hope this answered your question
