I would like to make a some rootbeer cupcakes with the rootbeer concentrate I have. Would I just make a white cake and substitute the vanilla for the rootbeer concentrate?
Or if anyone has a recipe that I might be able to use with the rootbeer concentrate.
Thanks!
McCormick's root beer concentrate recipe:

As you can see, 1-1/2 tsp. flavors over a liter of water. I'd substitute the concentrate for the vanilla called for in your recipe - but not 1:1, much less....

Thank you Miss JanH for your response.
You are alway so cordial and promp to answer our questions......
I did make the cupcakes using the Magnolia Bakery vanilla cupcake recipe and added 1/4 tsp rootbeer concentrate in place of the vanilla. The flavoring was great!
I also made the frosting from:
1 stick butter
1/4 cp shortening
4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp merinque powder
heavy whipping cream to desired consistiancy. YUMMO!
Thanks again ![]()
WOW - this sounds so yummy I had to comment! Sounds like a rootbeer float and cupcake together! ![]()
Thank you,
They really were good. Also, I served them with vanilla ice cream. Which even added more to the "float".
