I am doing my sil's wedding cake in November. The cake doesn't seem difficult. I think I could figure the fruit and nuts out with enough time and practice. I am just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to make the fruit and nuts out of fondant or gumpaste. I have never done those before. Does anyone know of any instructions for these?

I'm assuming this will have a Fall/Harvest look.

I have done fruit, and I think nut should not be that hard to do.
I did use any molds when i did these.. Just my "poor old habds".
Have real nuts and fruits in front of you and just kind of copy the shape.
I used 50/50... Fondant and gumpaste.

Have you considered using marzipan for the fruit and nuts? It's very nice to work with, can be colored and pressed into molds or modelled by hand. Personally I don't like the taste of marzipan but think most people do and it would be nicer to bite into than a large piece of fondant.
