I know this has been asked a gazillion times, but how do you sterilize your tips? I thought someone said, submerge them in water in a microwave safe container and microwave them. But for how long? TIA

When you're licensed - you have to follow food safety rules, which means you sterilize everything. I use clorox bleach - about 1 capful for a 1/2 sink of water (disclaimer: those are my proportions for the right shade of purple on my test strips). Water should not be steaming hot, rather somewhere around 80 degrees & you only need to submerge them for 30 seconds or so. Oh, and don't rinse afterwards.

I do mine the same way. 1 Tbl. bleach to 1 gallon of water. Wash them first in hot sudsy water, rinse and then into the sanitizing solution for about a minute. Air dry afterwards.

Should this sterilizing of the tips with the bleach, also be done on the reuseable decorating bags? Just curious.
