I'm making a 3 dimensional pumpkin from two bundt cakes and I just noticed something. On the area of the pumpkin that would be indented in the pan (and thus, the cake) goes out.

For those of you that have made these cakes, did you remove these ridges to make them contour in or what? I'm just a little confused on how this works. icon_wink.gif

TIA

If I am not mistaken, since the bundt cakes will be on top of one another (one right side up and one upside down) it should not matter about the ridge and cake should look okay. If you want it to be completely smooth then you could contour the ridges.

Pumpkins have ridges! If they are too extreme, just fill in a little with frosting when you cover it.
If you want a smooth pumpkin use a round bowl to bake in. icon_smile.gif
