What is the meaning of "#" unit for 1# flour?? Is "#" meaning "cup"???

I believe that is the pound symbol. But I have never seen it used that way in a recipe.

i agree with pattiecakes. i've never seen it used in a recipe book, but i have seen people use it in forums.

I have seen it used that way and yes it does mean pound.
