What Do I Charge?

Friend of mine wants a small wedding cake for about 30 people,very simple-what should I charge? I was thinking along the lines of 60-75?That's between $2-3 per serving-what do you think?

I think it depends on how deep of discount you want to give her for being friends. I think $2-$3 per person is very generous of you.

She not that close of a friend-don't want to give a big discount-just want to be fair-

I personally think it is fair. I live in a small community and cakes are not a big deal here, so I do them for $2.00 a serving for a basic cake too. Someone had even inquired on me doing there fall wedding cake, I showed them alot of pictures and gave them that price, and I havent heard from them since! I think they thought that was even too high. I have the same thing going on to. A wedding cake for next year to serve 40-50 people, extremely basic and small. Good luck with whatever you may decide.

I wouldn't go under $100 for a wedding cake, no matter how small.
