How Do You Make A 3D Eagle Bust?

I need directions or ideas on how to carve a 3d eagle bust. I don't need wing span or anything. icon_smile.gif

Also, it doesn't need to be large. I am thinking that the bottom of it would be a 6". Any ideas? What about the beak and eyes?
