That same thing kind of happen to me the only thing I figured out is that I used my KA instead of my hand mixer to mix my cakes I think I was mixing my cake batter to much with my KA it took me three cakes to figure that out.

Oh DisneyDreamer, please don't give up. I think right now the best thing is to walk away and take a break. Give yourself some time to regroup and then try it again. I have had those days and I've found the best thing to do is walk away for awhile. Hang in there! thumbs_up.gif

DisneyDreamer don't give up. Sometimes somedays SUCK sorry so blunt icon_cry.gif But Not a cake episode. But I have bad wrists. I was making a meatloaf for supper. Low on money and this was a big meal. I made the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and a veggie. I was taking the meatloaf out of the oven and my wrist gave out. Meatloaf met the floor. I started bawling icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif . My DH came into the kitchen and in a very weird tone said FLOOR LOAF. I wanted to smack him. He came over to me and gave me a BIG HUG and said the top of the floor is clean pick off the top... WHAT ?? He said the bottom of the meatloaf didn't touch the floor so cut it off and we still have diner icon_biggrin.gif I felt like crap cause I spent time and money on this meal and I dropped it. So our going joke when I make meatloaf is "Are we having floor loaf" I laugh now but I bawled like a baby when it happened. What I am trying to tell you is we all have our days. Sometimes they SUCK icon_cry.gif don't give up you will laugh later I promise. LIVE AND LEARN Like vpaz24 said walk away and take a break. Like with a child count to 10 or what ever you need to do. Take a day or 2. Relax and try again but don't give up. I hope I have helped you. At least I have had your attention off of cakes icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif Good Luck

There must be something in the air. The last 2 cakes I've done, I've had to redo because they either sank or were really dry icon_confused.gif ! Then the last cake I delivered (on Sunday), slid on the board and smooshed up against the side of the box, flattening all the side decoration and border on that side of the cake - that has never happened before and it really upset me, the customer was great about it though. Keep your chin up, I bet the next cake you try will be a big sucess! (((hugs)))
