I have an order for a 1st birthday cake. The mom wants either a cutie pie themed cake or a crown cake. It needs to feed about 40 people. Any suggestions.

cutie pie as in something really cute??/ or is that an actual theme?? As for the crown cake.......there are a ton of designs to choose from....how about making a cake that looks like a big pillow with an edible crown on top of it??

If you have one of those stand-up cuddly bear pans, you could try this idea:
I used the cuddly bear pan, and after baking him I just shaved his ears off and frosted him with a light peachy flesh tone. Frost/fondant a little white diaper and give the baby a sweet face and some little angel curls for hair. I made gumpaste flowers and arranged them all around the bottom of the baby, and then fashioned some angel wings out of white tissue paper and some thin wire. Grrrrr...can't find my pictures, but when I do I'll send em to you.
