I dont usually read this forum but today i find myself here. ON Tuesday it will be our 25th wedding anniversary and i know its going to be just like any other day. icon_sad.gif DH has the day off of work so maybe we will go out for lunch or something, i can only hope. We had talked about taking a cruise or something, but, well, that never got booked, and anyway with family circumstance this week it wouldn;t have been good to go away and leave the kids. (15,17,20). We have no family around to share it with us and no close friends. It just makes me feel so sad. I remember organizing my parents 25th WA party 19 yrs ago, I was so proud of them, I wish they were both still here to share ours with us. This should be a happy week, but i dont feel like that.
Anyway i thank you for your time.
I Thank God for my CCfriends.

What ablessing it must be for you and your hubby to be sharing your 25th anniversery! I'm so happy for you! It's a shame that you aren't able to do anything super special to celebrate but maybe some quality time with the family could fix that. Maybe a BBQ or even a night out on the town with them?

Just my suggestions, but...

Maybe you should tell your husband that you want to do something to celebrate. I don't want to say that your husband isn't romantic if in fact he is, but sometimes men don't seem to "get it" unless you tell them outright. - If your problem is that he won't go out of his wayto do something for your anniversary.

Or, as an alternative, maybe you can treat yourself. You can go shopping all day, or go to a spa - anything you enjoy doing. Relax and make it "your" day.

thanks everyone for your replys and congratulations. the day wasn't that bad after all, not extra special like id hoped, but not a flop. we went out to lunch and then came back and worked on my 'legal' kitchen, so im happy for that. maybe circumstances next year will allow us to take a trip, 26 years will be just as special. Here's looking to the future!!!

thanks again.
