I have no idea what to charge for cupcakes..........I've been asked about it a few times, then the customer ends up just ordering a cake instead. So how much does everyone charge for cupcakes?

I guess it would depend on what I was putting on them.

If it was just basic BC or Ganache, $1.50 ea
If I was doing fondant, $2.00
And if it was something complicated, like intricate designs, gumpaste or fondant creations, or lots of fine/tiny work, up to $5.00 ea.

But that is just my 2 cents. And I have never actually SOLD a cupcake! icon_wink.gif

For cupcakes with cake and plain icing(swirl design) I charge $12 per dozen.

For cupcakes, with designs such as rose buds, grass, roses, etc. I charge $15 per dozen.

For shaped cupcakes such as a basketball cupcake, soccer ball, snowman, etc. I charge $20 or more per dozen.

That may be on the cheap side but I'm trying to get more clients before I raise my prices.
