I am making a babyshower cake and on the top of the cake I am going to make 3 sailboats. I have always used fondant in the past but would gumpaste hold up better??? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

(With such high humidity lately I'm afraid the fondant would just wilt but I don't know what gumpaste is really suppose to be used for)

Gumpaste can be rolled thinner and dries harder than fondant. You can also add a little tylose or gum tex powder to your fondant and it should dry hard.
