Have not used them for cake portfolio, but did use last x-mas for some family gifts. Their layouts and options are much better than the Kodak site IMO. The quality of the book they will send is great; the photo quality will be the same as what you submit to them.
I just made a wedding album for my best friend from the 200 photos my DH took of her wedding with our digital camera - it came out better than many professional albums! 12x12 hard cover book - just beautiful!
As long as you have high quality pics going in you will have a fabulous album. Our camera was nothing special - plus it is a hard cover book, you can change all the background page colors/patterns - sooo many to choose from!! I think it's a great idea!
I made a photo album for my husband of all the pictures we took while he was home on his 2 week leave from iraq. Then i sent it to him in iraq and he loved it. The pictures came out great. I loved it because you can put 1 picture on a page or i think upto 12 pictures. Its the hard cover one and it survived getting shipped to iraq and then my husband having it there for months and now its back here in perfect condition on our entertainment center. I HIGHLY recommend it.
Wow. I've never heard of Shutterfly and just went lurking thru their site.
So impressive. I think I will be picking out my fav pics and having a book made. This is also going to come in handy for my GS troop and my daughter's graduation. I'm going to have a book made of all her years in Scouting.
Thank you so much for sharing!!!
I've been using shutterfly for about 3 years. They are by far the best. I've ordered several photobooks from them in all sizes and about 8 different calendars. They're products are great. I once ordered a calendar from Kodak because they were having a special and the calendar was much smaller than Shutterfly's standard size and the Kodak calendar pictures came out very dark and poor quality. I never ordered from them again. All my friends use Shutterfly as well. Plus every once in a while they send you deals on free shipping or free photobooks and calendars. The more you buy, the more "coupons" they send.
