Need A Great Idea For My Own Housewarming Party

I just moved to Chicago and in one week, my roommate and I will be having our housewarming party. I really want to make a cake that will impress my guests. I'm trying to "get legal" and my guests may one day be clients! ![]()
We decided to have a mexican food theme. It's easy and tasty. We're having margaritas and mexican beer with traditional chips, three types of salsa, and possibly a bread bowl with spinach dip.
I'm having a hard time coming up with a good idea that will sort of match that mexican food theme, or a housewarming look. Help! Any ideas?? sculpting or art.. I love making cakes!
Thanks!
Someone recently did a margarita cake. It was really cool!! (sorry, I don't remember who it was)
Just go in the gallery and do a seach for "margarita cake"
P.S.-Welcome to Chicago! I live about 30 minutes south of the city. ![]()
No problem!
That was the first cake that came to mind when you said you were doing a mexican theme.
I've saved it in my favorites it's so cute!
Also, there are some cute taco cakes if you search in the galleries, that are really cute, too!
Good luck! ![]()
You could do a mad hatter cake that is decorated with fondant peppers. . .I tried to post a pic of a mad hatter cake, I couldnt figure out how, but anyways if you go to google images and type in mad hatter cake it will show you pics.[/url]
