I made MMF for the first time. Very stiff and hard to work.

Is there anything I can do to soften it without compromising the batch or do I need start over?

I would try microwaving it and adding a bunch of crisco to try to save it but if that doesn't work you'll probably have to start over. I try to add less pwd. sugar than the recipe calls for when I first mix the melted marshmellows and sugar together... then I just keep adding pwd sugar until I get the right consistency... soft but not sticky. Hope this helps!

I always microwave my MMF for a few seconds to soften it up. Why should you not? What happens? I've never had a problem doing this...
