Hi everyone-I need help with an airbrush. We have one at the bakery where I work, and I've used it to color mmf roses, and accents on a bc decorated cake. I need to know how to apply gold or silver to a bc iced cake. Do I mix it with vodka or flavor extracts?? Appreciate any help. Carol

I asked this same question a fews weeks ago. Anyway, I tried doing the same thing but it turned out blotchy, I couldn't get any kind of consistent results! I sure hope someone can tell us both!

We mix the luster dust with vodka. But we have an artists airbrush with very fine tips. It can control the air flow and liquid flow at the same time. The vodka dries very quick. Blotches can be caused by many things...
clogged tips, spraying to close to the object, not enough airflow or pressure. You can practice on white paper first to get used to the airbrush.
