Has anyone used their fondant rolling pin to roll out cookie dough?
If you have did it work?

Yes you can use it and yes it works. The only thing I like about using my fondant pin is the dough seems to stick less; but I usually use my olf-fashioned wooden pin because I'm much more efficient with it because of the rotating handles.

The fondant rolling pin is all I ever use. If you roll your dough between two sheets of wax paper, it hardly ever sticks. IMO. icon_biggrin.gif

I use an 8" white rolling pin for cookies. It hardly ever sticks on the dough.

I use my fondant rolling pin but cover it with a cloth sleeve. Then I don't need to worry about it sticking. My regular rolling pin is a tapered french one and I like using the fondant pin with ¼" dowels to make sure the dough is an even thickness.
