On my wedding cake some time ago, we had a coupel of fairies made for our wedding cake... the wings are semi transparent and brittle, they are shiny....

Does anyone know of a product that might give these results? I can't ask the lady who made the cake as we have lost touch....

I not how other than gum paste could I make fairy wings!

You could use gelatin sheets (totally transparent) or rice paper... icon_smile.gif

you could use gelatin or sugar for the wings i've seen tutorials on making wings for butterflies, dragon flies, even the lenses of sunglasses w/ gleatin & sugar i don't see why you can't use it for fairy wings. i'll see if i can find the post.
