I love ziploc bags! and that's a great idea because I often freeze my cakes and after wrapping in foil I usually use a plastic grocery store bag. The big ziploc is better because its freezer safe and can be used over and over, I will definitely get some. Thanks!

I have some of the giant bags and use them to store my cake boxes and boards to keep them dust free. They are fantastic!!!

The Ziploc bags are also at Target and I have even seen them in the grocery store. When my daughter went up to college I packed a lot of things in the bags and that way everything was easy to carry and she had the bags up at school if she wanted to store anything. They have really come in handy-Also good because you can see what is inside them-no mystery there! Love them for cakes as well.

When I went ot Wal -Mart I think I only got two 1XL and 1XXL and then hubby was @ Sams Club and asked me if I needed more and it came in a box of 7 with just XXL I think it was like $9.00 and maybe 3or 4 @ Wal-Mart ..

Great idea for using those bags for cakes. I normally use them when traveling as I don't like the airport security touching all my stuff...they can see and feel through the bags. I try to get all the extra air out and it also makes more space in my suit case. So sorry this was off topic... icon_redface.gif

When I go into town to my moms I put all kinds of stuff for a over nite trip instead of in wal- mart bags that I will over stuff or have to carry more than one I could use a back pak but like you say its easier to see thru ..

I haven't tried them yet but the 1.5 gallon bags are good for storing FBCTs. You can freeze up to a 10" round cake and the 9x13s also.
