when used in a wedding cake layer? A friend wants a layer done in Italian Cream, but can it set out and how long?
I used to make italian cream cake at a bakery and I always had it in a dome cake stand at room temperature for 2 days. It was fine. It is such a moist cake it can hold up for a long time.
Hi, I've been making scratch italian cream cakes for years and have always left them out for 3 to 4 days with no problem. They were always in a covered cake dome. When making them for clients, I always refrigerate them until delivery or pick up and I've never had any complaints either way.
